NIC AU Founded During State-Level Visit to Australia

The Vietnam Australia Innovation Network (NIC AU) was founded on 2 December 2019, during a state-level visit to Australia by the leadership of Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The founding meeting brought together Vietnamese experts, scientists and professionals based in Australia — the seed of what would grow into a network connecting the Vietnamese diaspora’s scientific community with Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem.

NIC AU was subsequently registered under NSW Fair Trading (2 April 2020) with Australian Business Number (ABN) 65 918 654 630, and became a member network under Vietnam’s National Innovation Centre (NIC).
