AURORA 2026 Nominations Now Open — Expanding Beyond Australia

The Vietnam Australia Innovation Network (NIC AU) is pleased to announce that nominations for the AURORA Scientific Research Awards 2026 are now open.

What’s New in 2026

Building on the success of AURORA 2025, this year’s programme expands internationally to welcome entries from Vietnamese scientists, PhD candidates and research-track postgraduate students based not only in Australia but also in Singapore, the United Kingdom and other countries.

Research Fields

AURORA 2026 accepts submissions across six strategic fields:

1. Green Transition & Sustainable Development — ESG, green finance, circular economy, climate change
2. Agricultural Science & Smart Farming — biotechnology, food science, precision agriculture
3. Industry 4.0 & Innovation — AI, IoT, robotics, blockchain, cybersecurity
4. Economics & Applied Finance — development economics, green economy, policy research
5. Advanced Materials & Technology — semiconductors, smart materials, biomedical applications
6. Vietnamese Language in Technology — language-learning apps, NLP for Vietnamese

Key Dates

• April – July 2026: Nominations open
• August – September 2026: Review and judging
• October 2026: Finalists announced
• December 2026: Grand Final and Awards Ceremony (Hanoi)

How to Enter

Entries are individual (one project per person) and must be submitted in Vietnamese. Submit your application via email to admin@nicau.org.
